About
A family ground that grew into Ghaziabad's home of weekend cricket
SP Cricket Ground is run by the Patil family in RDC, Ghaziabad. The square is prepared by the same groundsman who laid it, and the diary is still kept honest: one team, one hour, no double bookings.

How we got here
Ten years, four wickets and roughly eleven thousand hours of cricket. Everything we have added — lights, nets, covers, the pavilion roof — came from what teams asked for after a match.
2014
One matting strip
Shrikant Patil levels a plot in RDC Raj Nagar and lays a single matting wicket for the neighbourhood side.
2017
Turf square laid
Four turf wickets go down with Nashik black soil, and the ground starts hosting Pune district club fixtures on weekends.
2020
Floodlights up
Six 20-metre LED towers open the ground to night cricket, adding five playable hours to every day.
